Help us create "Go Bags" for the Karangahape Road Rangatahi Hub to support our rangatahi on their haerenga into safe & stable homes

Auckland

Feeling overwhelmed by the world?

Want to do something that matters but don't know what?

Need to take an action that makes a difference?

Same here.

The team at Kick Back Make Change on Karangahape Road provide a safe space for our Rangatahi to hang out, rest & access support.

One thing they need to care for our most at risk rangatahi is Go-Bags. These are set up, ready to grab bags that contain everything a young person needs for emergency accomodation while the team supports into something more stable & long term.

We're putting together 10 bags before we close out for the year.

Each bag will include the following:

A set of sheets, a blanket, pillow & towel

Toiletries (toothbrush, paste, mouthwash, hairwash, bodywash, lotion, sunblock, insect repellent, deodorant)

Something to snack (chocolate, popcorn, sweets, noodles)

Something to do (sketch pad & pencils & a book to read)

Something to hold (a weighted soft-toy)

This is something we can do, right now, today, to awhi & tautoko our rangatahi.

George Street Linens has generously donated the towels. To complete a bag will cost another $245.00. Ten bags will cost $2450.00. If we raise any more than that we will forward the funds directly to Kick Back to spend on our rangatahi.

We reached our goal!  22 December 2025

A big mihi to everyone who contributed to help us get this done. The bags are all packed up to get dropped this week to the KickBackMakeChange rangatahi space - all thanks to your generous donations.

We went over the total, so the surplus funds will also be donated to their kaupapa.

Thank you again. Meri Kirihimete and happy holidays!

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
