Rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of neglected, abused and abandoned goats across New Zealand.

Auckland

I rescue, rehabilitate and rehome goats who have been neglected, abused, abandoned or subjected to inhumane treatment. Many arrive underweight, injured, parasite-ridden, fearful and without access to proper care or veterinary support.

I support cases across New Zealand, with hands-on rehabilitation taking place in the Auckland region where goats receive intensive care, assessment and long-term support. This is ongoing animal welfare work, not one-off rescues.

Goat rehabilitation is highly specialised. Many goats arrive physically and emotionally traumatised, with unmanaged breeding and serious welfare risks. Rehabilitation requires skilled handling, veterinary involvement, careful health planning, time, patience and trust-building. Many goats need weeks or months of care before they are healthy, calm and suitable for rehoming.

Donations fund essential welfare costs including veterinary care and emergency treatment, surgical castration of bucks, vaccinations and parasite control, feed and grazing, injury treatment and ongoing rehabilitation. These costs are ongoing and essential.

This page supports all current and future goats, allowing continuity of care and the ability to respond when urgent cases arise. Goat neglect and abandonment are growing problems, and rescue work is largely underfunded.

Every donation, no matter the size, directly changes outcomes for goats who would otherwise continue to suffer. Thank you for helping provide safety, dignity and a future for them.

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
