I'm asking for help to get a good Kiwi bloke home from Aussi. Due to unforeseen circumstances he is stranded, homeless and without work.

Northland

I met Tony on a Facebook page for single NZers. Over the last few months we have been getting to know each other and have fallen in love. We are both in our mid 50's, and had all but given up hope of finding that special someone to share the rest of our lives with. We have spent hours getting to know each other and asking all those questions that are important when you are about to embark on a life changing event.

He is a kind, caring, hardworking man who shares the same values as I do and we have decided to take a leap of faith, much like jumping off a cliff without a parachute. He said he'd land first and catch me in his arms. T

As a survivor of domestic abuse, I had become quite jaded about love. I have lived on my own for the past 15 years now raising two sons; my eldest passed away aged 20, and my now 16 year old. Its been tough but I had gotten used to it- meeting Tony has turned all that around.

Tony was living in Perth, had a good job and had begun to make plans to return to New Zealand.

He drove down to Sth WA to say goodbye to some people he knew but never made it. He was involved in a car accident and his car was written off. Because of this, he lost his job and is currently stranded in a seaside town called Bussleton, sleeping on the beach at night and spending his days in a park. He's been there for a month. Centrelink have given him a minimum benefit but because he's a Kiwi they will not help him with a passport or the money to come home. He had already gotten rid of most of his belongings as it was going to be too expensive to ship them to New Zealand and his tools were stolen out of the wrecked car. We've been trying a number of options to get him home but so far nothing. As a Northtec student and single mum I don't have the financial means. :-(

I am hoping to pick him up at Auckland Airport and bring him home to Northland, so we can begin building a future together. He has never been unemployed or homeless before, and intends finding work as soon as possible. He is a Sheet Metal worker by trade but is prepared to do any kind of work that is offered. He also has a daughter here, and a grand daughter that he hasn't met yet.

We would really appreciate some help please. We are prepared to pay it back once he gets himself home.

ps. He's not a Catfish. I've had face time online with him, we phone each other every day, and he's shown me his Australian drivers licence. He still has his lifetime NZ drivers licence as well.

Tony is a hard working, good kiwi bloke, however he has found himself stranded, homeless and jobless due to unfortunate circumstances in Western Australia. I want to help get him back to New Zealand.

Use of funds

The main goal is to get a good kiwi bloke back home.

The money will be spent on his passport, a bus trip to Perth and a one way ticket to Auckland.

Any surplus would be used to buy tools for his trade and we'd donate the rest to a NZ Homeless Shelter.
