Now retired and enjoy intrepid travel. Toured extensively in Africa and having been brought up in an orphanage myself for some 9 years decided to volunteer in an orphanage in Nairobi Kenya. The orphanage has no government funding and relies totally on donations. Currently they are trying to raise funds to purchase their own piece of land and to build a permanent dwelling because they are often shunted from property to property.
