Grandmother of 4 under the age of 5 loses everything in house fire.

My name is Carla Marsters I have created this page for our family friends who have finally given permission to move forward with reaching out for support from the community in such a devastating turn of events.

Ursula is a grandmother from christchurch who has full time care of 4 of her mokos (grandchildren) all under the age of only 5 years old. On the morning of 23rd of October 2025, the family have woke to their home in flames, with absolute relief the whole family were able to make it out with their lives but sadly absolutely everything was lost.

Although Ursula considers herself grateful her and the mokos are still here, she is absolutely heartbroken. Initially to proud to say support is needed it is becoming clear this whanau need all the support they can get at this time.

The fire was a result of her Son charging his e scooter on the deck outside. This leaving her son feeling guilty and hopeless on the consequences to his family.

There were no insurance policies in place at the time.
