Great Grandma Needs Help With Medical Costs

I am an 82 year old widow on a pension. I live on my own in a little country area of New Zealand. My main pleasure in life has been my garden until recently when my scoliosis (spinal curvature) became much worse . The constant pain is excruciating and exhausting and it's difficult to walk. I can't take my poor dog for a walk anymore and rarely get out anywhere.

My chiropractor says if my spine curves just 3 cm more I will be permanently bed bound. I spend many hours each day on my sofa unable to stay on my feet.

I need custom built brace which will cost $6000.00 Follow up consultations are $300.00 each. I estimate I will need about $10,000 or more to cover the brace, consultations and travel costs.

I hate to ask for help but I'm at my wits end and scared of becoming a total cripple. I can't get any help from the medical system/government. They dont accept chiropractors and yet there's no other options open to me.
