The Growers Relief Fund is an all of horticulture fund intended to cover growers affected by Cyclone Gabrielle.

Hawke's Bay

The Growers Relief Fund is an all of horticulture fund intended to cover growers affected by Cyclone Gabrielle where there are gaps in other funding streams, but need still exists. The funding will be focused on the highest priority need both personally and commercially (e.g. orchard access for harvest, lease of sprayer etc). The trustees are conscious that there are national funds (e.g. Red Cross), Government support, and sector and regional funds. The Growers Relief Fund will be targeted at gaps between these support mechanisms to ensure growers are well supported in this critical time of need. The fund is a registered charity, administered by Horticulture New Zealand and governed by horticulture industry leaders as trustees.
