Support Pop Up Gardens work in the Christchurch community and also help us to do even more.
Canterbury
Pop Up Gardens has been developing, building and
maintaining 'pop up' edible community gardens in Christchurch to help bring some colour and life to the vacant spaces left behind after the demolition of earthquake damaged buildings. Thus far this has all been achieved on a volunteer basis and with funding assistance from the Christchurch City Council
and support from other community groups. The seed has been sown and now Pop Up Gardens wants to grow and flourish, to do this Pop Up Gardens needs
your gracious support. As of February 2016 there are two community "pop up" gardens in situ to manage and a third in the build process.
The major issue that makes the community
work more difficult is the lack of a dedicated vehicle. This has meant to date the amount of work that can be carried out has been hindered. We could achieve so much more with a work vehicle!
Any donations received will go towards the purchase of a Ute or van approximately
$2000-3000,
more plants and materials, $500
developing community involvement programs $1000
and extending the community garden in Peterborough street. $500
Pop Up Gardens has been set up as an unincorporated group and has a purpose of developing community pop up gardens in urban
