Bucket List for a 42 year old with 3 autoimmune diseases and 2 children. To build Fales in Apia in Samoa with The Habitat for Humanity Team.
Wellington
Habitat for Humanity Volunteer scheme is dedicated to help build fales with a standard design of 6 metres long by 5 metres wide for families in need in Apia for the Village of Lalovaea. The families may choose the roof line and it will have strapping to make it cyclone resistant. Leave date is 24 June to 4 July. I can't do any longer, as I have 2 young boys and a husband I don't want to leave for any length of time. My husband says I'm not getting any younger or healthier so now is the time to act!
I have been selected as a volunteer on the scheme to help build fales in a village of Apia. A life long dream of mine to be part of. Please help me do this, so that my family isn't put under any extra strain while I am away, as medical bills have been fairly high of recent.
Money is used to pay for Habitat for Humanity costs, domestic and international airfares, connecting accomodation costs and purchase of extras for the villagers and seventh day Adventist church who are accomodating the team such as tools, coffee, tinned hams and hand painted rocks for the children Any extra will be donated directly to the church I am staying with (Seventh Day Adventist Church) in Apia or to Habitat of Humanity whichever is more appropriate.
