Please help us to upgrade our tennis courts to serve Halswell Community and the wider Christchurch.

Halswell Tennis Club, located in Christchurch, has proudly served its community for over 116 years. Since its establishment in the early 1900s, the club has provided generations of juniors, families, and seniors with opportunities to enjoy the physical, mental, and social benefits of tennis. With growing participation and ageing facilities, it is now time to invest in the future of our club.

We are undertaking a major redevelopment of our tennis facilities to ensure they are safe, meet modern standards, and continue to serve the Halswell and wider Christchurch community for decades to come.

The project includes replacing our ageing courts, expanding from five courts to six, adding court lighting to increase availability for junior coaching and year-round use, and creating a higher-quality facility suitable for both social and competitive play. This redevelopment will reduce court congestion, support junior development, and enable more participation in tennis. We plan to commence the redevelopment in Autumn.

The total project cost is $500,000. To date, we have raised $250,000 through community and charitable grants, club fundraising events, sponsorships, and donations. We still require $250,000 to complete the project.

This Givealittle campaign forms part of a broader funding strategy. Our goal is to raise $50,000, and every donation helps us deliver modern, high-quality courts.
