This tree is now 10 years old. Thousands of people come from around the region to Garden Place in the centre of Hamilton at Christmas to see the tree and watch the nightly show of lights at 9pm (up for 4 weeks). Our trust has managed the tree extremely well but it is now at an age where the branches need replacing to ensure another 10 years of Christmas joy for the children and families of our city and beyond.

As a trust we raise money each year to ensure two free events are held for the children and families of our city and region. The trust can only do this through sponsorships, donations and fundraising.

Helping with a donation toward this project ensures that families can enjoy the good things about Christmas at no cost, at a time when it can be stressful for families.

About us

The trust puts on free events for children and their families at christmas to provide opportunities for families to have fun together at no cost, children to share their talents or dress in costume. Our vision is "creating and reliving Christmas memories. Two events are Christmas Parade for Hamilton and the Christmas tree and associated carols concert.

Use of funds

Purchase replacement tree branches for a 25ft high Christmas tree. Branches are made to a specific pattern with material designed to survive the outdoor elements. Any additional monies raised will be used toward ongoing maintenance.
