Hammer's Last Ride

Kia ora e te whānau, I have created this page to support a friend and their whānau with ongoing medical expenses for the sweetest boy, Hammer, who has recently been diagnosed with cancer. Unfortunately, the vet has said that Hammer's cancer is untreatable and he will eventually need to be euthanised so that Hammer's not having to live in pain. We are wanting to give Hammer the best care and comfort and so the plan is to do this at home so that Hammer can pass in his safe space and be as comfortable as possible around the people that love him. Unfortunately, home euthanasia is a lot more expensive and after the past high costs of vet bills, this is difficult for Hammer's whānau to cover. Hammer has been a loving and precious member of the whānau for 8 years and has been a massive support for his whānau and friends going through their own recovery journeys. Now we want to be able to give back to Hammer and support him through his last days and be able to give him the ability to live the rest of his days to the best he can and not in pain. Any support and contributions would be really appreciated and support with alleviating some of these costs for Hammer's whānau and be able to give Hammer the love and care he deserves for his remaining time.
