  • Yet Another Bump In The road

Harper has had another curve ball thrown at her. Due to a type of lymph node being nicked during the transplant surgery she has had to have another operation today to drain the resulting fluid build up in her tummy and now has to have a drain bag for the fluid for the next wee while. So our stay up in Auckland has now been

extended again by a furthur 6 weeks...Hopefully one day we will get yo go home and be past all of these complications.

Thank you to everyone for your support, it is becoming more and more evident that we could not have done this without your help so we thank you sincerely.

  • Harper has a new kidney!!

Harper has a new and working kidney!

She now has a renewed hope of a quality of life that so many people have fought so hard to get for her. No more dialysis!

Through the relief, it has also been the second most gut wrenching week of our lives. Seeing your child go through such a huge and painful surgery and not even knowing 100% if it was going to work is a feeling that I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy.

A huge thank you to a special Aunty who made this all possible, we dont even have words that even come close to describing how thankful we are to you for giving Harper a part of you so she can live freely ❤️

While the challengs are still coming at us and this is a long way from done, today marks the first good day since Monday that she has had and her sassy little spark is starting to light up in her eyes again.

As always, Bunny is strapped in for the ride along with half a zoo she has accumulated and continues to add to.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us through this and continues to. You're all a huge blessing and we couldn't do it without you. Here's to a cold drink when this is all said and done 🍻

Harper is booked in for a kidney transplant on Monday and after all the set backs she has had in the last two months it is going to be life changing. She's been such an amazing fighter through this all. I can't imagine how hard it has been on her, it's been hard enough on us and we aren't even the ones stuck on a hospital bed!

5 weeks down of living in Auckland, 7 to go (hopefully less).

  • 1/3 Operations Completed

Harper finally had her operation to switch from peritoneal dialysis to haemodialysis today. She is out, demanding chippies and recovering well. No more dialysis at night for her. This new type of dialysis will be done during the day 4x a week and has to be done by specialist staff in Starship Hospital. Maybe we will all get a full night sleep in the near future for the first time in 2+ years!

Thank you everyone for your support and prayers 💞

    Hi everyone,

A wee update on Harpers transplant. As of two days ago we have hit a big hurdle and Harpers transplant has been postponed to the 12th of August. She has been admitted into Starship Hospital until then to switch from peritoneal dialysis to haemodialysis which can only be done in Starship for little children. So we have settled in to Starship for an even longer haul now as she will be here until transplant can happen. We thank everyone so much for the support we have received as we couldn't do this without everyone's amazing help and support!

We will continue to update everyone as things progress and hopefully there will be no more delays so we can hopefully be home before October!! She already cannot wait to get home.
