Hi Stacy,
I am the Eco Design Advisor for Hamilton City Council and I offer free and impartial advice to anybody living in a house to help them be wamer and healthier. Great to see the insulation company getting in touch with you , and while insulation is an essential start , it is not the only issue with thermal performance in a home. I would be more than happy to help you with this problem. If you are interested please contact me for an appointment. ian.mayes@hcc.govt.nz or mob# 021 585 175

Hello
We believe we have located her in our database, for an assessment under the Warm Up Waikato Free Insulation Scheme. Unfortunately, due to the time of the year, we do have a bit of a back log. We have attempted contact and left a message to book an assessment and will attempt again later.

Deb asks
Hi Stacey - Just wondered if you are aware that home insulation is free if you meet the following criteria:
Warm Up Waikato is an insulation retrofit project insulating the homes of low-income high health-need households in the region.
Supported by ENERGYWISE™ Warm Up New Zealand: Healthy Homes programme, we provide GreenStuf® insulation to homes in the Waikato Health region at no cost. The programme focuses on the homes of families with high health risks (i.e. pregnant women, babies, children under 14 years of age, or older adults aged over 65 years, with housing related health conditions such as respiratory disease).
Waikato has a high number of potentially avoidable hospitalisations which can be attributed to poor housing. By delivering Warm Up Waikato as well as improving access to health and social services we believe we will see a corresponding drop in housing related preventable hospitalisations, and that’s better for everyone.
To be eligible for the free GreenStuf® home insulation you will:
Live within the Waikato Health catchment
Live in a home built before 1st January 2000
Have a valid Community Services Card or be eligible for one
Own your own home or rent privately (not a Housing NZ home)
Someone living in the home under the age of 17 years or over the age of 65.
