Brain Injury HB needs your help

Hawke's Bay

Have you or someone you love been affected by concussion or a more serious brain injury?

EVERY 15 MINUTES SOMEONE IN NEW ZEALAND HAS A BRAIN INJURY - and those are only the injuries we know about.

Brain Injury is a silent epidemic with devastating effects on individuals, their loved ones and our entire Hawke's Bay community.

This 'invisible injury' causes emotional, physical and mental barriers far beyond what the eye can see.

• The hard-working team at Brain Injury HB is currently supporting more than 200 people across Hawke's Bay.

• We have educated more than 3000 tamariki about concussion and brain injury in 2022 alone.

• Our clients need their art group, whānau support group, and peer supports groups across Hastings, Napier and CHB.

Over the last three years, we have lost a major funder and we need our community now more than ever so we can work for you and your loved ones.

Brain injury does not discriminate. There is nothing 'mild' about a mild traumatic brain injury.

Our service provides free and specialised support for anyone affected by brain injury after birth.

About us

Brain Injury Hawke's Bay offers free education, information, advocacy and support to all those affected by Brain Injury, their loved ones and the wider Hawke's Bay community.

Use of funds

All money raised will be spent on ensuring that our services can continue including our peer support groups, our 1 on 1 client appointments, our education sessions in schools and the wider community, operational costs and more!
