Its been a while and if your on FB you will have already seen this update. Harry is progressing so well and against all the odds is smashing goals that even the Doctors are having trouble explaining. He has some movement in all his limbs, but no real function as yet. But with-ongoing physio we are all very hopeful he will get some function. He is currently being fitted for his power chair (god help us all) and is off the ventilator, although still has his Trachy in place and is breathing on his own through that we are very hopeful he can have that removed soon. He is eating small amounts and enjoying that. For those messaging him -we thank you but be patient as he can't answer any of these on his own yet, he needs support from family or nurses so if he don't respond its just he's nackered or his support crew (mainly mum) is on strike!! lol. Hazza is so positive and we remain overwhelmed with everyone's support. This will be my last update as the page will close in a weeks time. But form the bottom of my heart on behalf of the family and Hazza - Thanks you thank you thank you. please enjoy the photo of hazza on his 20th birthday. Such a special day to share with him.

Hazza wants you all to know he's doing Ok. Has been working hard on getting off the ventilator and with his current effort he should achieve that in the couple of weeks. Hopefully transfering to Burwood this Thursday. He's getting intermittent movement and sensations and we are all excited that this will continue to improve once rehab starts. His motivation and determination is nothing short of inspirational. His sense of humour is out of this world... Hense the face in the photo! Look closely!!! We just want to thank you all again for your support. It has made the world of difference to Hazza and family.

Hazza continues in true Hazza style...110% all in. He remains on the ventilator but is managing some breathing on his own. He's enjoyed some time out in the sun this week. The team at chch ICU are outstanding and know Hazza loves the outdoors so bed/equipment and all they make it happen. His amazing mumma bear remains at his bedside and pappa bear is there more than not! Keep up your prayers, healing thought and well wishes... You are all amazing humans.. stay safe out there people.. cheers Vicki

  • Thank you and update

      24 February 2026

Words of thanks don't cover the overwhelming feelings of gratitude we all have for all of you supporting Hazza in this fight. We are hoping Harry will get a tracheostomy ( permanent breathing tube) in today. He remains critical but giving everyone a run for their money in true Hazza style. Your support removes all the external pressure, allows Jo marsh and the girls to be together... This is priceless... 🙏 ❤️❤️
