Korengarenga ana te puna roimata kei aku kamo ❤️

Progress and update - my love is fighting this cancer hard, so hard he is tired and we know he hasn't got much fight left in him.

Every second minute hour and day is precious that we have with our king ❤️‍🩹

We had a beautiful whakamoemiti (church service) this evening we sang beautiful waiata the room was fulled with aroha.

Thank you to everyone who has shared aroha with our whanau we appreciate everyone showing they care for Son.

Mei kore ano ka rere nga mihi aroha ki a koutou katoa ❤️

  • Immunotherapy and treatments progress

      27 April 2024

Sons treatments have been slowly but surely making a difference to his quality of life.

Draining - Since March 4 Son has had four draining over 11 litres of fluid around his left lung to remove the fluid built up caused by tumour the cancer.

This week there was 2.3 litre’s of fluid drained from around his lung he was hospitalised for 5 days the aim was to slowly drain the fluid sitting in pockets around the lung to get theses areas as dry as possible. The Doctors injected a power medication in the back of his chest to help the lung get to the wall of his chest where it is supported, it has been hanging lose the reason for this was to help slow the fluid building up causing him severe symptoms such as shortness of breath anxiety severe pain and exhaustion. Things are going better since this procedure.

Immunotherapy - 3 weeks ago Son had his first immunotherapy it definitely took a lot of his energy but combined with the lung draining they are both benefiting his wellbeing.

Doctors say It takes several immunotherapy session to see if Son is benefitting from the treatment time is key and rest is key.

Rest - is is key to all of these treatments working its the goden

Stress - working on maintaining good balance of our emotions as a whanau.

Lastly thank you to everyone who has supported Son journey by far this has been a one of his biggest challenged he has ever faced.

They say to beat the elephant you take small bites at a time thats how you conquer the elephant.
