Deaf kids need your help! New hearing centre will change the lives of children and adults with cochlear implants.

    Things certainly are busy here and we're making the most of our new centre. The Stichbury Bidwill Centre is home to The Hearing House, and our wonderful tenants - SoundSKills, START and the Hearing Research Foundation.

    The community room in the centre was put to good use last week - we held the first Hearing House playgroup for 2018, and the Auckland Cochlear Implant Consumer Group held it's first meeting at the centre.

  • The finishing touches

    Three weeks into the New Year and we're loving working from our new centre. It's so exciting to welcome children and adults through the doors and see their expressions of awe and amazement. There's still plenty of finishing touches to work on - including the landscaping. Each finishing touch is a step closer to completing this fabulous project.

    So far we've raised more than $16,000 - thank you so much for all the support. It really does mean a lot.

  • Near year - new centre

    We're in - and we're mostly settled.

    After lots of unpacking and setting up, and a "woo-hoo - we made it" celebration at the end of last year, we are now settled and excitedly waiting for our first clients.

  • Grand and glorious

    Our new building is looking grand and glorious on such a lovely summer day!

    The contractors are in there adding finishing touches and preparing the ground for driveways, paths and landscaping.

    It'll be quite spectacular when all the diggers and rubble are out the way.

  • Moving in day is getting closer!

    Wow - we can hardly believe that after all the years of dreaming and planning construction is almost complete! The contractors will be moving out this week and we can start the fun task of setting up and moving in!
