Avishek (Nickname Tinku) is a beautiful 9 year old Indian/Fijian Boy who is very sick and needs a heart for Christmas. Can you help?

Bay of Plenty

His diagnosis is Severe Mitral Regurgitation, Pulmonary Hypertension, Congestive Cardiac Failure.

Avisheks condition means that he is unable to go to school, walk unassisted and do the things a normal child can do. His health is deteriorating rapidly and if nothing is done in the next 6 months he will become bed ridden and eventually die.

He needs urgent surgery and arrangements have been made to do the operation in India on the 15th of February while he is still healthy enough to travel.

The Fijian and Indian health boards are paying for the operation BUT the Lata family need to fundraise $10,000 Fijian.... $6500 NZ for travel/accommodation/ food for 21 days for both Avishek and his mum Suman.

They have permission from the government to fundraise locally and overseas.

We need your help to give this boy "a heart for Christmas".
