Time for an update. Mark is doing amazingly well and has been moved from hospital to Hearty Towers. He has surprised everyone by how quickly he is recovering. I have loaded more photos on his progress. Thanks to everyone who has donated. It means the world to the Mark and the family.
Mark is AWAKE and breathing on his own with just an oxygen mask. Ventilator is out and getting lots of smiles from him.
The doctors are amazed at how well he is doing.
Mark is out of surgery. All has gone well. Will be going to ICU very soon is being assisted until doctors say. Great news.
Mel and Mark received the call last night that a heart is available. They flew to Auckland and Mark is currently being prepped for surgery now. Now more than ever they need our support and love.
We are pleased to confirm that Mark has been accepted for his heart transplant after a big week of testing. He is on the active list and currently the only A type. He could be called up anytime.
We are so relieved and blessed for this outcome. Anything you can give to help them pay for the kids to visit during this time is so appreciated.
Mark and Mel have arrived at Hearty Towers at Greenlane Hospital with a week of intensive testing. All begins at 7.30am and they have a full list of appointments booked every day.

Great News!! We have heard from Greenlane Hospital and we have a date for Marks next round of tests. Mark and Mel fly up to Auckland on Sunday 7th December for the week.
