Thank you for all your support!
Cameron has just turned 2 and like other toddlers his age he loves Thomas the Tank Engine and Mickey Mouse.
Unlike other kids, Cameron has already had 2 open heart operations at five days old and fifteen weeks old. He has also had two cardiac catheter procedures. He was born with right hypoplastic heart syndrome which means he has half a functioning heart.
Cameron's next open heart operation will be when he is 3 and a half. After this operation he will need a CoagCheck machine.
The CoagCheck machine eliminates the need for blood tests taken through the vein. A prick of the finger accurately measures the thickness of the blood to identify the daily dosage of Warfarin required. The machine is small, portable and can be used by the child and their parents/caregivers.
Cameron lives in Clive, Hastings with his Mum, Dad and big brother Cory.
Rachel Lange is a friend of Cameron's and is training for a half iron man on Saturday 6th December 2014 in Napier. As part of her training Rachel wants to raise some money towards paying for Cameron's CoagCheck machine. Please support Cameron and Rachel.
Money raised over $1500 will go towards CoagCheck machines for other kids like Cameron.
