David asks
Kia ora Shannon,
I'm glad to hear you're doing better following your injury. My name is David and I'm a journalist for the New Zealand Herald. I'm starting to find and write stories about New Zealanders who are in and have been to Ukraine. Below is the first of my pieces:
If you would be open to it, I would like to write an article about your story and how you ended up in Ukraine. Obviously, because you are in a precarious situation, you have the right to say no.
My email address is david.willams@nzme.co.nz if you want to or can send me an email. Or I can speak to you via Skype/Whatsapp/Zoom. Whatever works for you.
Thanks very much, and best of luck in what you are doing. I feel proud that, as a New Zealander, there are other Kiwis on the other side of the world fighting for freedom.
