Helping a struggling Latin American family.
Auckland
Ana María and Juan David, are two Colombians who arrived in New Zealand six years ago with the dream of learning English and building a better future. Last year, they received great news that they were going to be parents, so they planned to return to Colombia to welcome their daughter Victoria into the world surrounded by their family. However, life presented them an unexpected challenge.
Ana María began experiencing a dry cough, and upon visiting the clinic, they discovered a problem with her heart that prevented them from traveling. On the 28th of February 2025, Victoria was born prematurely and she will have to remain in the hospital for at least three months. Ana María also remains hospitalized, receiving treatment for her heart.
In the midst of all this, Juan David is on a tourist visa, which prevents him from working and earning an income. While their priority is Ana María and Victoria's recovery, the expenses for rent, utilities, and basic needs continue to accumulate putting a great strain on them.
Today, with their hearts in hands, they are asking for your support. Any help, no matter how small, will allow them to focus on what matters most: Ana María's recovery and little Victoria's well-being.
Thank you so much for your generosity!!!
