Help Mighty Little Alayna on her Journey to Independence!

Alayna is 5 years old and has a rare genetic disorder called CACNA1A (see youtube link for info) in addition to an eye movement disorder (tonic up gaze), Global developmental delay and Cerebral Palsy (low muscle tone, hypo & hypertonic CP)... but she doesn't let her diagnosis get in her way. She is such a determined little girl and has such a strong will! If you have been following Alayna's journey, you will know that in the past 2 years, we were incredibly blessed to be able to attend the Intensive Therapy programs at The Centre of Movement in Australia twice (once each year). The results were amazing. Alayna made such great gains and we as parents learned so much about how her body works and what exercises will benefit her to get her as independent as possible. Thankfully, the Centre Of Movement has opened a clinic in Rotorua, New Zealand, just a few hours drive from where we live! This therapy (Dynamic movement Integration) sees best results when done at least 3 times per year so fundraising will be ongoing for us for as long as she should require. For reference, a 2 week block is around $8k.Our Goals for Alayna over the years have been reached with every visit from sitting, to crawling, and now she is really ready to get walking!
