Help Amberlie's Family
Supporting the Pennington-Foley family following a tragic accident.

After a tragic accident in the playground, 3 year old Amberlie passed away, leaving her parents, Emma and Rob and baby brother Theo absolutely devastated.
Emma and Rob moved to New Zealand 9 years ago from the UK to set up a new life for themselves and to start a family. They left their parents and all their extended family in the UK.
Because of the Covid-19 pandemic and the global travel restrictions, it is proving very difficult and expensive to get their family to New Zealand to support one-another during this terrible time.
We know that so many of Emma and Rob's friends and family want to help at this extremely difficult time so we have set up this page as an avenue for people to help if they are able to do so and would like to.
Emma's employer is kindly contributing towards the costs of bringing Emma and Rob's immediate family to New Zealand. However, the total costs of travel during Covid-19 are overwhelming. We are hoping to raise money to support the family with the costs of travel, quarantine and accommodation as well as holding a celebration of Amberlie's short but happy life. If there is any funds remaining, they will go towards easing the pressure on Emma and Rob financially.

Use of funds
International flights, internal flights, quarantine, accommodation for immediate family and a celebration of Amberlie's life. Any excess funds will be used by Emma and Rob to ease the financial burden on the family.

Thank you to everyone that has donated to Emma, Rob and Theo! We have been able to have both Emma and Rob’s mums travel to New Zealand and, after 14 days of quarantine, they were able to fly to Wellington and be together.
A lovely celebration for little Berlie, decked out in pink as her favourite colour, was held and many tears were shed but there were also smiles as we celebrated the short but huge impact Amberlie had on us all.
It’s a long road to healing for the Pennington-Foley family and life will never really be the same, but with friends, family and the amazing love from their community we have helped! The family is forever grateful.
