An update on how things are going in Auckland from Shaz , our thoughts and love are with you and the family Sis xoxo

    Hi family and friends!

    She’s a long one… so settle in.

Sending a huge amount of aroha back to everyone who have called, come to Auckland, the messages, remembered my family in prayers, sent positive vibes, care packages and even helped through practical financial means during the past 6 weeks - I thank you all deeply.

We have been absolutely blown away at how wide the love and support has reached and absolutely humbled.

To my family and friends I call family - for making the time to sit with us, make a kai, setting us up into the house, visiting me for a reprieve at Middlemore or even being available and offering to come through - I love you all to no end.

Surprisingly - I’m a mum struggling to find the words to express the gratitude and love I have for you all.

To my work crew holding it down while propping us up - Team Hewsons OPD - literally the best people I could work with, showing nothing but compassion and full support ( so make sure you all send your business requirements that way 😉).

Petone Riverside Cricket Crew - you guys are too good xx ❤️

Jayden I’m happy to report is finally out of Critical Care as of today. He’s moved through to the spinal care unit at Middlemore and will start getting his respiratory issues cleared up everyday in order to start his next step towards the national burns unit and then back to spinal.

His spirits are high, he’s determined to recover strong and finally get to hold his little girl Leilani.

Taylor has completed his grafting here in Auckland and his hand is recovering well - he is back to keeping an eye on his Mum and making sure a day doesn’t end without something hilariously outrageous coming out of his mouth.

Without this guy - this story could of had a very different ending for 2 families. ❤️

Sorry for not answering every call or text - I’m a nurse now and the shifts are gruelling 😂.

If you can - show some support to NZs nurses , absolutely the best humans and they deserve their weight in gold and more.

    🙏🏽 ❤️
