Help Anaya's family while she fights for her life.

  • Fantastic news part 2

    (See part one for the start of Tundi's essage)

    We are so thankful to the people who helped provide food and things when we couldn't even think about that for ourselves. We are so thankful to everyone who gave to us financially so that Tony didn't have to worry about work and we were able to afford to have mikah fly up and be there also in that very scary time. And that we also have some left over to help pay for adjustments we need to make at home for Anaya to safely get around.

    We are so thankful that Anayas heart has no lasting damage. There is damage in her lungs but they will recover in time. We are so thankful to our wonderful neighbours who kept an eye on our place and animal so we didn't have to worry about it at all while we were away.

    We are so thankful for friends who lent me a guitar and the blessing of music that sustained us through it.

    Mostly we are thankful to God for rescuing our precious girl.

    In short- we are very, very thankful!!

  • Fantastic news!! Part 1

    Fantastic news!! Anaya is going home!!

    A message from Tundi:

    "We have great news. We are going to be taking Anaya home tomorrow. What a journey it has been - 29 days in hospital and nearly losing our girl. We are so thankful to the Lord for saving her. We are so thankful to all the medical staff for their expertise and especially thankful for the miracle of the cardiologist that was from Auckland that just happened to be working in gisborne for 5 days and who was available at the exact moment she stopped breathing and knew exactly what it was and set everything in motion to get the help she needed.

    We are so thankful for the thousand of people all around the world who were praying for her and us- especially through those very tough days when they weren't sure if she'd make it or not. It is so comforting to know we have a whole massive family in Christ all over the world who loves us and cares and willinging commited themselves to pray for our girls healing... thankyou, your prayers were answered.

  • Improvements

    Thank you for all your prayers and financial support. It is really helping!

    Message from Tundi:

    She's improving every day. Today I got her in the wheel chair and out to the car. We took a drive to the beach. First time she's left the hospital in 24 days! She's starting to manage to walk a few steps on her own now too and can swallow tablets instead of having them all IV. So improving everyday.

  • Back in Gisborne!

    Good news! Anaya is back in Gisborne hospital.

    Still a very long way to go, with a lot of pain in her lungs, but being well enough to transfer is great progress.

  • Please pray

    Anaya is struggling right now.

    Message from Tundi.

    They were hoping to flight transfer Anaya to gisborne hospital today or tomorrow but have now had a few complications stop that so we are asking for prayer.. she has started vomiting again and her right lung seems to have gotten worse. She can't lie down at all because of the pain in her lungs and it restricts her breathing. She has a central line in her neck that needs to come out but can't because you have to lie down for an hour after its taken out to prevent air bubbles getting in but because she cant lie down at all thats cant get done. We both had no sleep at all last night so are feeling pretty rough. thanks for your ongoing prayers xx

  • Anaya is doing well!

    Message from Tundi

    Anaya is doing really well. We can only contribute it to answered prayer. Just a few days ago they were preparing us for the idea that she might not survive. today she has been intermittently off all oxygen. The nurse said this is amazing considering she only got off the ventilator yesterday. She's off all blood pressure medication coz her blood pressure is excellent. She is still on blood thinners (will be for quite some time now.) She is still in alot of pain and feeling nauseous all the time. They are struggling to find enough different types of antinausea medication to give her to combat it that wont cause problems for her bowels that have not yet woken up. Today they got her out of bed and into a special chair which she is finding comfortable and managing to get a bit more sleep in. They are talking about moving her out of ICU and into a ward in the next couple of days. What a miracle we Praise the Lord for.

    Last night our pastors arrived to come support us and pray with us and bring many kind gifts from our church family. We are overwhelmed by the blessings we have been given. Mikah has come down with a sore throat and headache so is keeping away. Please pray for her healing and that the rest of us dont catch it. Thankyou for your support and love ❤️

  • Updare

      21 December 2025

    It's been a huge day for Anaya. She has high temps from pneumonia and also they have lowered the sedation. We have set times we are allowed in from 9.00am to 7.00pm then 9.00pm to 11.00pm. Although anytime they are doing anything with the patients we have to leave. Be cause anaya is more awake but cannot communicate she was very scared and confused and distressed. When we got back she managed to communicate it with us through random letters on paper that looks like hieroglyphics and nods and guesses. She did not want us to leave i am sleeping on the couch in the waiting room so they can call me whenever she needs me. They are happy with this and so is she. Please pray she can stay calm and at peace so her body can heal. If things continue well tonight they are planning on taking her off the ventilator tomorrow and putting her on the -bubble air'. This is all amazing progress. And while she is still very sick she is alive and recovering. We praise God for the miracle he's given us. She still has a long way to go. But she is here. PRAISE GOD!

  • Encouraging progress

    Thank you so much for your prayers, support, and generosity.

    This is an encouraging update from Tundi

    We have been overwhelmed with all the support from our friends, family and even strangers. It has been very, very scary but Anaya is making a recovery - we are so grateful to have our girl with us. They have removed the clot from one lung and the other is being broken down with medication. She still has pneumonia on the other lung also which is being treated with antibiotics. She still has a long recovery to go but she is with us.
