Another round of treatment … Anna has done so well taking it all in her stride. It’s tough to watch her when she is lying on the couch recovering and she doesn’t want to do anything but she is looking forward to have energy again so she can dance again 🥰
Round 5 is done and dusted! After a rocky start Anna bounced back - it is taking around 3 days to be back to normal. She is looking forward to having a gap of 4 weeks between rounds which will be what life will be like from now on as long as her body agrees not to have a "hissy fit". It was so nice to recover at home.
My wee trooper had round 4 at end of school holidays! Again she did well & never complained. The nurses are so proud of her and how she is taking it all in her stride!
Round 3 happened on Thursday and it has taken till today for Anna to feel like eating! She is a real trooper - no complaining even when Prof said to expect further hair loss but you know she isn't right when she doesn't feel like dancing!
Anna has just finished round 2 - it is taking its toll on her. She is now beginning to lose her hair at the front so I have taken her to get a fringe cut. She is a trooper and not complaining!
Thank you so much for your help so far! On Thursday we went up to Auckland to have Anna's first injection. It was a bit of a shock to see how fast she went downhill and lost all of her spark and energy. You know she isn't right when she doesn't want to dance! She is a lot better today (Monday) which is good. Next trip to Auckland is 13 March!
