Our great friend Frances has Multiple Sclerosis and lives in Hawea, near Wanaka. She has lived here for 14 years. As many of you know living on a sickness benefit is a 'hand to mouth' existence.
We're raising funds so she can do a highly regarded online Animal Portraiture course she is very keen to do. The course costs, including all the equipment needed, are considerable and Frances has already tried to get funding from various organisations. For example, a high quality graphics tablet essential for her work is $1,910!
Art is one of Frances' greatest pleasures and drawing one of the few things she can continue doing. She would love to further develop her animal portraiture and ultimately create an income stream from her work. (She did a Visual Arts degree 20 years ago.)

I first met Frances as her care-giver 14 years ago and have been friends ever since.
Use of funds
Any funds raised will go towards course fees, tablet and art supplies. If we don't meet the target, funds will still go to art supplies.
