Bella is a 12 yr old girl who is battling the health system to the point where she has attempted to do a sit in to get someone to listen.
They know she has fnd and crps however it has come up with the pain management team, orthopedic, physio etc that they still believe there is something more.
She would have to go in a pram for many outings as if she walked like a normal toddler at daycare and family trips she wouldn't be able to walk for up to a few weeks.
12 years she has battled the system for them to stop just meeting up with her every three months but offering no actual answers on that final mystery.
Bella often now is in a wheelchair or using her canes.
Each day is different. She can wake to an elbow locked, a fist, both fists, legs locked etc.
Recently she has done some fainting where she is completely out for awhile and can end up in emergency department with that issue as well as limbs locked.
Bella is fighting for answers for herself. She has a voice and she Believes she is not being listened to. She deserves to have answers and be able to be a child and have fun and not worry about her body refusing to work. She also should be able to experience a day with no pain.
The drs call it disabling, they call it debilitating, No respite care, no funding for things to make her life easier as fnd and crps don't fit the criteria for help unfortunately and they still don't know what the final thing they are fighting is.
my name is Corrina and i am a very good friend of the family. the family are people who give and don't as for help themselves.
wheelchair, medical expenses, and later on they will have to update the car to get the wheelchair in.
