Missionary couple (Bernie & Sylvia Kay) in their sixties needing a place to call "home" . . .
Tauranga, Bay Of Plenty
Bernard (Bernie) and Sylvia Kay are long-term missionaries from New Zealand serving with Youth With A Mission (YWAM). With decades of service to God’s calling, they focus on training and mentoring in the South Pacific and Southeast Asia. In their sixties they don't have a home of their own after loosing everything in the 2007/2008 financial crash. Now seeking the stability of a home of their own. Their journey has been marked by faith, service, and reliance on God's provision.
Having worked with YWAM for over 30 years, impacting various parts of the world. From 2015 to 2019, collaborating with teams to produce the JESUS Film in 64 new languages in the South Pacific, effectively sharing the story of Jesus in the heart languages of many.
Additionally, they're involved in Oral Bible Translation, addressing the reality for over 10,000 language groups who lack any access to the Bible in their native tongues. Training young people to work alongside Bibleless communities, facilitating the translation of the Bible orally into their languages. This allows these communities to connect with God in a personal way. In doing so, they are releasing the next generation to continue the work of reaching the lost for Christ.
The money will be used to purchase a permanent home for Bernard (Bernie) and Sylvia Kay. This will be the case whether all the funds are raised or not. It will mean getting a mortgage but all funds will be used for the purchase of a Home.
Stacey, Thank you for helping us get into a home. May the Lord bless you this Christmas and the coming year.
We really appreciate you and the fact that you support us. Thanks you. Blessings.
Thank you so much for this. It means a whole lot to us. Bless you. Bernie & Sylvia
