Our beloved Billie needs a bit of love and some support. If you know Billie, you'll know she lives her life to advocate for others, she dreams of a world where everyone is loved, cared for and valued, she'd give you the shirt off her back, without even asking and not expect anything back, but it's our time to give back to Billie.

Billie was diagnosed with Gastroparesis in 2019 and later with POTS and Dysautonomia, it's been a long journey. After her feeding tube failed 2 months ago, she has been left without adequate nutrition, which has taken a huge toll on her body and brain leaving her malnourished and unable to do basic daily tasks. She is currently in hospital awaiting a surgery that we are feeling incredibly Hopeful will give Billie her life back.

Billie currently rents a two-bedroom new build townhouse in Onehunga, to allow for the wrap-around support she needs, we're raising money to cover the cost of the second room for the rest of the year. This is normally covered by a flatmate. This will allow people who are willing to step in to support to stay for free in a lovely home with their own space and ensuite, for either days, weeks or months depending on people’s capacity, and for Uma The Cat to be cared for if Billie is in hospital.

The money will also be used for accessibility needs, including a power adapt for a wheelchair, private specialist appointments, travel costs and and health needs etc.. as you can imagine these add up.
