Brad was entered and prepared for his one crack at living the dream. Then he ran out of money. I want to help with that.

In just over a week, the first ever NON STOP 24hr endurance race in New Zealand kicks off. Over 50 teams will battle through night and day to survive and cross the finish line. One such driver hoping to compete is Brad McClaren. Brad is a keen sim racer, but rookie real-world driver, and has been preparing since October 2017 to participate as part of team "Hooncorp", in what would be his first - and likely only - proper real life motor race. He's booked flights, accomodation and paid part of his team contribution.
However, just a couple weeks from the race, he lost his job, and as such was forced to withdraw from competition, re-prioritising his money to support his family instead of race. He is still going to the event, but has resigned himself to helping in the pits, changing tyres, fuelling cars, cooking, etc.
I, for one, want to surprise him by scraping together the funds neccesary for him to compete so that when he arrives at the track - SURPRISE!!!! - He's actually racing after all! There's only one week till the race, and time is very much against me, but I'm confident that the generosity of others will help me achieve this ambitious goal and help Brad do what he's been wishing to do since he could walk.
Brad has been a good friend of mine for nearly 3 years, and I hope that with this fundraising I'll be able to help him achieve his lifelong dream.
$1000 will go towards the rest of his team contribuiton, which itself will be spent on consumables required by the team. Petrol, tyres, food, batteries for tools, etc.
$500 will get Brad the gear he needs to race. (Overalls, helmet, neckbrace)
