This page is for people to help Braden at a time when he and his family need support.
Cambridge, Waikato
Braden is a much-loved teacher at Cambridge High School who has spent the past eight years inspiring students through his passion for French, the outdoors, and learning. He has gone above and beyond for students, leading trips, creating memorable experiences, and bringing learning to life both inside and outside the classroom.
Braden has also made a lasting impact as a dean, providing guidance and support to countless young people. His kindness and dedication have made him a valued member of the Cambridge High School community.
A few years ago, Braden was diagnosed with cancer and underwent a challenging year of chemotherapy and radiation treatment. Through incredible resilience, he returned to school to continue doing what he loves: teaching, supporting students, and sharing his passion for learning and the outdoors.
Unfortunately, following a recent third operation, Braden will be unable to return to school for the remainder of the year as he focuses on his recovery. After years of treatment and time away from work, he has exhausted his sick leave entitlement, creating additional financial pressure for him and his young family.
As Christmas approaches, we are asking our community to support Braden and his family. Any contribution, no matter the size, will help ease financial stress and allow him to focus on his recovery and time with loved ones.
Thank you for your generosity.
He is my colleague and friend. We have worked together as French teachers for the past 8 years.
Funds raised will help ease the financial pressure on Braden and his family while he focuses on his recovery. Donations may be used for everyday living expenses, household bills, groceries, utility costs, and any loss of income resulting from time away from work.
