Help Bring a New Mural to Ōtaki

Public Art Lovers!

Support the Kāpiti Coast’s thriving street art scene by helping fund a new mural in the heart of Ōtaki township.

My name is Theo Arraj, and I am a mural artist with over 20 years of experience creating public art. I have played a pivotal role in the growth of street art culture on the Kāpiti Coast, and you may recognise many of my murals throughout the district.

I have been granted permission to create a new large-scale mural on the corner of Matene and Main Street, Ōtaki. The existing artwork on this wall was painted five years ago, and since then my experience, skills, and artistic vision have grown significantly. It is now time to refresh this space with a new original masterpiece that will cover the entire 64m² surface.

I am reaching out for public support to help make this project a reality. As a working artist, there are substantial production costs involved. To make this opportunity viable, I am seeking donations to contribute toward materials, equipment, and associated costs, with the aim of completing the mural in November 2026.

We have also recieved permission to paint a second mural at 60 Main Street and have brought on the amazing Em Wafer to bring that wall to life in November aswell.

So Ōtaki gets two new pieces of public art this coming November!
