To everyone who will be attending, we look forward to seeing you at Toitoi (the Opera House). If you have a personal tribute you would like to leave for Chris, please bring it in a card or letter form to leave at his casket.

It won’t be your average funeral, because he wasn’t your average man.🤍

    Thank you. X

  • Christopher’s funeral service information.

We would like to announce that Christoper's funeral service will be held on Thursday the 25th of July at 6:30pm, at Toitoi (the Opera House) in Hawke's Bay.

We extend our invitation to anyone who wishes to celebrate the life of Chris. Whether you met him once and he smiled at you, or you loved him like a brother, or perhaps you never even met him at all but his spirit somehow found its way to yours, you are all welcome.

We would also like to make it known that Chris would definitely not like the thought of a dress code at his service, so you are asked to please wear whatever it is in which you feel comfortable for the occasion. Chris always wanted people to feel free, as do we.

Thank you in advance to anyone who joins us to celebrate the very special life of our dear Christopher. 🤎

  • Christopher is home. 🤍

      15 July 2024

Kia Ora everyone. We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to every single one of you for your contributions to this campaign to help bring our darling Christopher home from Mexico.

It has been a long and challenging journey, but we just touched down in Auckland (with Christopher on the same plane of course). Chris is now in the safest of hands, on his way back to Hawke’s Bay with our cousin Terry of Terry Longley & Sons. Terry met us at the airport and assured us that Chris is cruising in style in their Ceremonial Bunce.

We are awaiting our flight back to Hawke’s Bay.

We want you to know that it is the love that has got us through this period. The love we’ve felt from our community. The love we’ve felt from Chris’s community in Guanajuato, and his communities in Sydney and Melbourne and more. The love we’ve felt on social media. And the love we’ve felt from the hundreds and hundreds of you who kindly donated to this cause. Easing the financial burden of this time has helped us to navigate a difficult, international and logistical endeavour. But what has really got us through is the love that it all represents. The love for our darling Christopher, which will live on within us forever.

For those of you wondering about information regarding a service for Christopher, there will be an update to come shortly.

    Thank you.

    Love from the Drabble family.

  • Thank you from the bottom for our hearts.

      3 July 2024

Can barely even find the words. Thank you, so much to everyone who has contributed with either a donation or helping to spread the word by sharing. Nothing will help with the pain of losing our dear Christopher, but at least we can help ease the financial hardship for my beautiful family during this time. Your donations have now covered the costs of getting our boy home. Anything further donated will go towards the funeral costs to give Chris the final send off he deserves. ♥️
