Grandpop was tragically taken from us and we need to bring his kids & grandchildren back to NZ for final goodbyes.
Wellington
On June 11th, my uncle was tragically taken from us. He has left behind his loving wife of over 30 years, 5 kids and 17 grandchildren.
Two of his kids and daughter in-law are living in Australia along with 8 of his grandchildren and our goal is to bring them all home so they can say their final goodbyes to their dad/grandad after such a sudden and shocking death.
Unfortunately our family do not have much and cannot provide the funds to get James' kids and grandkids from Australia back to New Zealand so we are asking for any help anyone can spare to achieve this goal. We appreciate any help and support received as we understand how tough times are right now.
My uncle was big teddy bear with a generous and caring heart. His intentions were always meant well and he would help anyone he could if the opportunity presented itself. He was taken far too soon and his death has left our family in complete shock. He cared deeply for his family and worked extremely hard to provide over the years for them as a dairy farmer, truck driver and coach bus driver. He loved to make people laugh, was a great story teller and enjoyed the simplicities of life such as fishing, kai moana, motorbikes especially Harley-Davidson's and socialising with family and friends.
Thank you for any help and support. We truly appreciate any generosity that comes our way to help my cousins say their final goodbyes to their dad/grandad.
I am cousins with the beneficiaries.
Funds will be paid to my cousin/uncles daughter Amanda McIlroy
Emergency passports, flights and funeral costs. Anything left over will go to James' grieving wife for support. ACC will provide some financial support to the family
