Help bring my babies home for the summer holidays

  • Tasmania trip

      29 August 2023

    Kia Ora whānau

Thought I'd do an update. I recently had to hire a lawyer who cost $1000 to discharge the court order which prevents Mikaere and Dominic from being issued a passport still to this day and therefore both Mikaere and Dominic can't not travel internationally.

I am travelling to Tasmania for my cousin's funeral this week. I am trying to get Mikaere to fly to Tasmania by me to spend Sunday to Thursday together. He will need to fly from Perth to Melbourne to Burnie return.

I am going to create another give a little page to assist with costs of flights for Mikaere. It's looking around $1200-1500. Please if you can tautoko this because his father is unable to pay anything towards our sons flights. I am still on the sickness benefit and so I'm not the most financial either atm.

Please tautoko any Koha if you can.

    Ngā mihi,

    Aisha

    Kia ora everyone,

We have had to delay our trip to Perth because I am having issues with getting my son a passport because of an court order in place from 2016. We have to go to lawyers to resolve this issue and then we'll be able to sort tickets. Please contact me if you have any queries or would like a refund of your donation my email is aishabeazley@live.com.

    Kia ora everyone,

I have not yet booked tickets for Keisha and Mikaere to come to New Zealand because the situation has changed with my child Dominic and Covid impacts. Dominic is wanting to move home to Australia and because he has autism and is transgender it is safest for me to travel to Australia to accompany him. The next flight from Auckland to Perth direct Wednesday 2nd February 2022.

With covid and the new variants that have emerged since our givealittle page opened, delta and now omicron, the risk for my son Mikaere to travel internationally is too high. Mikaere is 11 years old and so he is currently unable to receive the covid vaccine. Keisha and Dominic are both fully vaccinated and today I will receive my second dose.

For me from assessing our family situation I believe it is best for all my children’s health and wellbeing to change our original plan due to circumstances that are out of our control. My proposed plan is for my son Dominic and I to travel from Whanganui, New Zealand to Perth, Western Australia on Wednesday 2nd February 2022 flight number 787-9. Costs for travel to Perth and back would be approximately $2500 with all flights and new passports.

That way the goal is still reached by being reunited with Keisha and Mikaere who I have not seen for three years. Also then Mikaere’s health and wellbeing will not be impacted as he would not have to travel internationally. I think under current WA travel restrictions, Dominic and I would have to quarantine so that is an extra cost I would have to cover myself.

If you have donated and this new plan is not something you agree with, I can refund your donation. If there are any queries please contact me on here or via email aishabeazley@live.com
