We are super excited to report that progress on the barn build us going amazingly! The floor is down and levelled (we used a thick layer of crushed limestone from a local supplier) We did lots of research and found that the crushed limestone which is similar to sand would provide the best surface for comfort and keeping the cows hooves healthy. Once the floor was down work started on concreting large structural posts deep into the ground, ensuring a very sturdy build. Then the rest of the wooden framing was able to be finished ready for the cladding. This is massive progress and we are SO excited to see the cow barn taking shape. This has all been made possible with the help of all you amazing people who have reached out to help, we honestly can’t thank you enough! 🤗🐮🥰
Although we have made great progress so far there’s still a way to finish the barn & reach our fundraising goal. We still need to pay for some of the materials and labour so if you are able to donate towards the final push to finish the barn we would be so incredibly grateful! 🫶 Any amount you are able to give makes a huge difference.
