Help by Hydro Therapy

Our beautiful Annabelle has recently been diagnosed with a rare disorder called HSAN type 1A meaning Hereditory sensory and autonomic neuropathy. Only 8 months ago our little miss started struggling with her feet ... she would trip over and her feet started turning in (pes cavus) . This soon starting turning into lower limb weakness and fatigue and also started effecting her hands and wrists in the same manor . No longer able to do buttons and zips and hold pencils in the same way either. We have been to see top neurologists and professors studying this gene mutation and still everyone is puzzled and can’t give us very much information about our Annabelle but we keep hunting . In the mean time our little miss has found the water her very special place to be. In the water she becomes like everyone else .. she carries her brothers and does flips and twirls and bounces on the ground up and down . Annabelle uses her upper body to swim freestyle and backstroke and be strong in the water . Since Annabelle starting using the pool to stretch and exercise she has gained so much strength both physically and mentally... she has started trying to take more steps out of her wheelchair which she now has to use . We would love to get Annabelle an all year round pool at her/ our home so that the sky is her limit again . Dr Joshua Burns did some research on muscular disorders and neuropathys that proved physical movement and physical therapies were of huge benefit, the Specialists all agree on one thing and that’s don’t let her stop moving otherwise the disorder will take a hold on her and let her muscles waste away . But this is not going to happen, with everyone’s help we can achieve all that’s possible and impossible!!! We would love to fundraiser enough money to buy the swim spa/pool in the photo to have indoors so she dosnt have to be outside swimming in the winter months .
