The Belworthy family need your support so they can support Casey Belworthy through her cancer treatment journey.
Canterbury
Casey Belworthy is a woman with a heart of gold, that brightens the room with her presence. Unfortunately Casey has been diagnosed with ovarian cancer and had to have emergency surgery to remove a very fast growing tumour. Luckily the surgery was a success however Casey is required to undergo chemo therapy to kick the cancer in the butt!
Casey will be off work for at least the next three months, and her mother is having to close her business for some time to help support, transport and care for Casey. This places a huge financial strain on the Belworthy family in an already stressful time.
Casey will be receiving chemo in 10 days time, unfortunately this means she will be in Christchurch hospital for Christmas. Despite this in typical Casey style she is taking it in her stride and both doctors and Casey are optimistic that she will beat the cancer.
Those who know Kaye (Mama Kaye) , Casey and Aimee will know that they are a fantastic family who are the first to help others. Any support will be greatly appreciated and will allow the whanau to continue living with one less thing to worry about.
Casey has been a great friend since high school and is the first person to be there when others need help or support. Casey has a heart of gold and deserves the best opportunity.
Funds will be used to cover the costs of travel to specialists, chemo and other appointments alongside meeting basic living costs due to Casey and her mother being unable to work whilst Casey undergoes treatment.
Thank you 31 March 2021
Thank you so much for all the generous donations. It has blown us away how much people cared and gave. We have been overwhelmed by the journey Casey has been on but knowing there was so much support has been uplifting and given us so much motivation to keep going with a smile on our faces. Yes there have been alot of tears but now Casey is back at her first week of part time work things are starting to seem normal again. Casey will be monitored to make sure 2 small nodules are ok but all seems sucessful so far. Thank you for helping us on our journey and just for being there. You are all very special to our whanau and will not be forgotten.
