Help Charlie recover from past traumas that have affected his ability to walk and be the playful dog he is.
Canterbury
Charlie is a 2 1/2 year old Saint Bernard. Originally from Greymouth, currently living in Christchurch NZ. Charlie has had a bit of a rough start to live and in his 2 short years he has gone through a lot. At only 5 months old Charlie was let out onto the road without his owners knowledge and was hit by a fast moving car. He went through days & nights at the vets, some of his injury’s where punctured lungs and internal bleeding. He made a speedy recovery and was the happiest pup out. Recently he has started to limp on his back legs ( which have been a little out of sync due to car accident) and we have been told today that he has torn a ligament in his back left leg and needs Xrays and surgery to help him recover from this. The xrays are $550 this includes sedating him so he is fully relaxed. These xrays will also tell us if there is further problems with his hips/knees so they are quite important to done. Surgery for this problem with his leg is looking to be around $6000-$7000. We sadly don’t have that kind of money laying around. At this stage we would like to raise enough money to get his xrays done and go from there as to what we decide to do next. Thanks heaps for reading please help our boy if you can, he is a very much loved member of our family.
I am Lauren’s flatmate & best friend. I live with Charlie, he is such a sweet boy who has had a rough start to life. He is the biggest support to my friend and has helped her through a lot. Everyone who meets him instantly loves him. And we love him dearly
These funds will be used to pay for Much needed Xrays, and from there possibly surgery depending on the outcome of the X-rays.
