Fundraising to help Chloe Gladwin attend the 2025 World Virtus Swimming Championships in Thailand.
Whakatane, Bay Of Plenty
Hello, my name is Jules (Juliet). I am fundraising for my daughter Chloe to attend the Virtus WORLD Swimming Championships in Bangkok, Thailand, August 20-30, 2025.
Chloe was recently selected for the New Zealand team to attend these championships. Virtus empowers athletes with intellectual impairmment to perform at the highest levels. Chloe is classified as an ii3 swimmer (Autism) and competes under the S19 classification within New Zealand.
Chloe has been a dedicated member of Whakatane Swimming Club since the age of 8. She won the President's Trophy, Dedication to Training, and Eastern Bay Swimmer of the Year awards. She also coaches the Penguins and Dolphins squads, sharing her passion.
Chloe competes at the national level and currently holds 20 New Zealand S19 records. She recently won 6 Multi-Class Gold medals at the NZ Swimming Championships where she earned her spot in the team travelling to Thailand in August.
I'm fundraising to cover Chloe's costs to attend the World Championships. She has been working to save money; however, she requires financial assistance to meet the goal before August. Costs include travel, accommodation, medical fees, competition fees, and uniform.
This is an amazing opportunity for Chloe to achieve her dreams at her first international competition. She can continue to inspire and share her passion with the swimmers that she coaches in Whakatane.
Please consider supporting Chloe and helping to fund her trip.
Thank you so much.
Jules and Chloe
I am the parent of Chloe. I have been observing her passion and dedication to swimming over the years, and love how she inspires others to compete at the highest level.
Chloe has been selected for the New Zealand team. Donations will go towards costs such as travel, accommodation, medical fees, competition fees, and uniform.
54 days to go! 27 June 2025
Thank you so much for your support. We are all very grateful for your kind donations. We have organised a 12 hour swim-a-thon next week at Whakatane Aquatic Centre, so that will be another step in our fundraising efforts.
And Chloe is a little embarrassed about the details released in this recent article:
