Help Christie receive life-saving treatment for Stage IV Melanoma

Meet Christie. She’s a 27-year-old lover of baking, Bernese Mountain dogs and being with her friends. She’s a talented accountant who secured a coveted transfer to London, where she was excited to begin the OE of a lifetime.
In November 2022, before her 27th birthday, Christie was diagnosed with stage 4 melanoma - found in her brain, lymph nodes, lungs, liver and bones. After three attempts at treatment, she has one last hope: a drug called Opdualag (with proven success in treating stage 4 melanoma). It leverages the patient's own immune system, amplifying its ability to detect and combat the melanoma cells.
She needs $80,000 NZD p/month to fund the 2yr treatment plan. Our initial goal is to fund 1yr of treatment. Every contribution gives Christie, and everybody who loves her, hope for her future.
Christie has shown incredible grit and optimism in the battle against melanoma. This has been nothing short of inspiring. Perhaps as devastating as the diagnosis itself, is the financial hardship of accessing lifesaving treatment. Unable to work, and with parents who have dropped everything in NZ to be in London to care for her full time, please be sure your decision to financially partner with Christie’s treatment journey makes this fight possible.

All contributions will go toward the sole purpose of funding all costs associated with Christie’s treatment for the next two years including the treatment, hospital fees, administration fees, and other costs to relieve any side effects of the treatment.

An update from Christie's family 24 May 2024
It's been just over six months since our beautiful Christie passed.
On the weekend, some of her friends in the UK did a half marathon run in her memory to raise awareness, thank you everyone for their continued love and support.
Her family wanted to thank you again for your generous donations and also provide an update on how the funds are being distributed in Christie's memory.
Christie's family are donating to causes as they arise, in memory of Christie. This has brought about beautiful relationships and connections they didn't expect to find, as suffering is something we at one time or another, inevitably face. But just like how we didn't have to go through it alone, now we pay it forward to help others in need.
If you have donated and provided an email address, the family will send out an email update every six months until all the funds have been donated.
