Help Cooper get mobile again

  • Ready for Surgery

    We have icepacks, wheat bags, a dedicated area for his 2 week incarceration, the harness and the last must have is something from home to take to the hospital for the familiarity factor.

    Cooper has decimated a rather embarrassing amount of stuffed fur animals, however there is one that he has loved since he first came to live with me. He doesn't bite it but rather falls asleep in a sort of open mouth kiss on bear, and a paw over pooh's paw. In 7 years he has been so gentle with it that there is not one piece of stuffing loose. I've not had to mend it (that's a given!) and it's his best friend.

    Besides me of course.

  • Helping harness!

    Harness fitted and can help lift both front and back legs- trying to get him used to it before surgery but no complaints from him so far!

  • Surgery is booked!

    Coopers surgery is booked for 7 September! He has a physio appointment the week before to measure for a harness to lift his back half up after surgery. He will have the ‘cone of courage’ for 2 weeks after surgery and 3 more physio appointments to make sure he’s moving around like he should.

    Thanks to those who have donated whether through givealittle or have personally given cash.

    It’s going to be hard to keep this boy quiet after surgery so him and I will be housebound for the weeks following.
