With the funds raised on this page, Craig has had some lovely times ticking off bucket list items. He's been on the Northern Explorer train to Auckland, fished with his brother and other members of the family (they caught 60 snapper between them), he's set up an orchid house in the garden and installed an ancient spa pool in the garden, fly fished with a junior NZ champion, had a beautiful garden concert put on by kind Kapiti musicians, and spent lots of time with family. Next week he is off to his ultimate bucket list item, a fly fishing and gourmet weekend at Huka Lodge. Craig, Jennie and their children Louis, Hannah, Katie and Josephine thank you for giving Craig and them these lovely memories.

For a while Craig was doing very well on chemo but now the treatment he was on has stopped working. Cancer has spread to his neck and stomach and the only option left is an unfunded drug - Avastin. This will cost around $25,000. Any further funds donated to this page will be used to help fund this drug.

Craig remains optimistic - "it's not over yet" he says. He is fishing as much as he can and getting paintings ready for the Rotary Art Show on at Southwards this coming Labour weekend, which is a fundraiser for the Kapiti Performing Arts Centre.

  • Craig in the media

      5 June 2019

We are re-opening the page as Craig, and his wife Jennie, have recently featured in the media discussing the state of cancer care in New Zealand. This coverage has the potential to attract further donations and allow Craig to undertake his bucket list.
