💙 Help Me Breathe a Little Easier 💙

I’m a young mum to two beautiful children, aged 6 and 3, and I’ve been living with an extremely rare lung disease called idiopathic pulmonary hemosiderosis (IPH) my whole life. I currently rely on supplemental oxygen for around 16–18 hours every day.

Managing oxygen while caring for two young children can be challenging. My current oxygen tanks weigh around 15kg, and have long tubing that can kink, catch on things, and make everyday activities difficult.

I’m fundraising to purchase a portable oxygen concentrator, estimated to cost around $6,000. At approximately 2kg, it would be significantly lighter and easier to carry, without the need for long oxygen tubing.

For me, this machine would mean more than convenience. It would give me greater freedom and independence, making it easier to keep up with my children, get out and about, and take part in everyday life without oxygen being such a major barrier.

My biggest hope is to improve my quality of life so I can be more present, active and involved with my children as they grow. I want to be able to make memories with them and enjoy the little everyday moments that mean so much.
