Daniel has gone home today. Nearly 2 months after the accident. He is still doing physio/rehab to get him more mobile, but he is finally home and we are all stoked!

Plans have changed and a bed has now become available in oamaru!. So Daniel is now back in oamaru at the hospital while he has rehab to get him stronger and up and about walking again
It's been a month since the accident, Daniel has had a hard road dealing with infections, pneumonia and a blood clot on his lung, along with all of his original injuries. But he is getting stronger every day.
Deanna has been by his side the entire time, which has been hard on her. We thought they may be able to come back to oamaru hospital but unfortunately things haven't worked out that way
We are now waiting on a bed at Puāwai Rehabilitation Unit in Wakari hospital, where he will spend at least a month undergoing rehab to get him up and about and walking, so he can get home to his family and his life.
We as a family would like to thank everyone who has donated to his recovery. We are incredibly grateful for all the support ❤️
