Help disabled children swing and play

Hi Cyrus, I saw you on Breakfast this morning and donated straight away, well done you for having such excellent organisational and advocacy skills. I have an idea for how you can spend the excess funds, because I’m sure they will keep rolling in and there’s maybe only so many BBQ you could have. Maybe you could install the swings you enjoy in other playgrounds you might visit, maybe it would be cheaper because just one existing swing could be replaced with the ones that suit your needs but many others peoples too? That way not only can you swing when you go travelling around but other kids in different towns can swing on them too. I’m excited for what great ideas you have next, onwards and upwards, keep swinging ;-)

Thank you for your suggestions.

I’m meeting with WCC tomorrow. I will talk with them about more swings in more parks.

Hi Kris,

Cyrus is a remarkable young man! I am Lower Hutt based - my daughter is nearly 3 with cerebral palsy. It brings tears to my eyes seeing how much Cyrus is willing to advocate for the disability community. I know Isla would really appreciate being able to play on a playground - as she too cannot support her trunk. Please thank him very much from me!

Kind Regards, Nicole Bowick
