  • Progress update

      18 February 2021

Kia Ora whanau, I have a great update!

WCC has started work to prioritise the swing frame manufacture. This should be done in 3-4 weeks. The swing seats themselves will take 2 weeks to freight 1 and 1 week to manufacture.

We are waiting for timeframes for the surfacing and installation. This is great progress.

In the meantime we are exploring bronze plaques to go with the swings.

Im open to suggestions from our wonderful supporters (25 word max).

“Swings kindly donated by Cyrus Dahl and supporters ...???”

  • More swings in more parks!!

      12 February 2021

Kia Ora whanau and thank you for your generous donations!! We have not only met our target but now we can add even more swings at other parks in Wellington!

We met with WCC and they will support a wider rollout across other parks using the additional funds you have all helped raise!!

This means the community will get an additional 4 swings, over and above the 2 swings in cyrus’ original project. (6 in total!).

WCC has agreed to include 2 new swings at the Newlands Park upgrade. (There were no accessible swings in this new upgrade).

AND new swings in the up-coming builds at Shorland Park, Island Bay and Cummings Park Ngaio.

This means accessible swings in a total of 5 Parks in Welly because of your help. 🥰

Thank you for all your support 🌹

    Arohanui Cyrus 🥰👊🏽💪🏽
